Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation of course more than 3 weeks before commencement date
Course fee will be returned by the class. - Cancellation of course less than 3 weeks before commencement date
Course fee and Cancellation Fee equivalent to 50% of course fee will be retained by the class. - Cancellation of course less than 2 weeks before commencement date
Course fee and Cancellation Fee equivalent to 75% of course fee will be retained by the class. - Cancellation of course after commencement date
Course fee and Cancellation Fee equivalent to 100% course fee will be retained by the class under all circumstances.

Cancelling a Lesson
Torii Kaiwa Japanese Language Class
(Class hours: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Sapporo, Japan time (GMT +9), Class days: Monday-Sunday, Closed: national holidays, late Dec., and early Jan.)
- To cancel a lesson, inform the class by email support@toriikaiwa.com by 6:00 p.m. Sapporo, Japan time (GMT +9) at least three class day before your scheduled lesson. This ensures that your lesson cancellation will be processed. After we receive your cancellation request, we will send you a confirmation email within one class day. You must then reply to our confirmation email. Your lesson cancellation will then be completed. If you do not receive our confirmation email within one class day, it is possible that we did not receive your email. Send us an email once again, and make sure you send it to the right email, along with an attachment of proof that you have sent us an email at least three class days before your scheduled lesson. In this case, after receiving the email, we will send you a confirmation email, and process your cancellation request accordingly.

- When we process a canceled private lesson, we will reschedule the lesson.
- If you do not cancel the lesson by 6 p.m. at least one school day before the lesson, the lesson will not be rescheduled and there will be no refund.
- In the case of a semi-private lesson, the lesson can be rescheduled only if all the students complete step 2 above to cancel the lesson.
- A student who misses a semi-private lesson will neither receive a rescheduled lesson nor a refund.
- In the case of a group-private lesson, the lesson can be rescheduled through either two processes. First, through the student appointed by the class as the “class leader”. In this case, the class leader shall follow the cancellation process as the above mentioned along with proof that the class leader has conducted a vote in the group-private social media group (such as WhatsApp group, or telegram group) as a proof of representation. Second, through a vote with the result of above 50% students agreed to cancel the lesson conducted by the class staff via the group-private social media group, if the class leader shows absence or lack of response. The class leader shall conduct a vote in case there are requests by other class students who wish to cancel the class due to a valid reason. The class leader has the right to deny cancellation requests by other students if the reason is deemed to be invalid. The class leader also has the right to ask for proof of valid reason given by other class students. If there are any disputes or unresolved problems regarding cancellation requests by other class students with the class leader, the class staff has the right to step in to resolve the problem.
- A student who misses a group-private lesson will neither receive a rescheduled lesson nor a refund.
- There is no refund for private lessons that have been paid by the student, and the student must take the private lesson accordingly.
Effective Period of Rescheduled Lessons
A rescheduled lesson must be taken within 30 days after the canceled lesson. It cannot be scheduled or taken after 30 days.

＊Bank transfer fees to send the refund to your bank account will be subtracted from the refund amount.
